Learn the rules of using capital letters. It will help you to write English correctly and read easily.

 We use a capital letter to begin a sentence

    Examples :

·      He is tall. /   This is my brother.

         We use capital letters to start proper nouns. (names of people, places)

 Examples :

·      Kamani lives in Veyangoda. / Mahiru goes to Ananda Vidyalaya.

      Pronoun "I" is always capital.

Examples :

·      I like cake. /  Can I help you ?

         We use a capital letter to begin the days of week, months, festivals, names of books, subjects, languages.

 Examples :

·      Monday,/   March / Ramazan / Madol Duwa / Science / Tamil
